Run the Highlands
Every year the Lake Highlands Junior Women’s League hosts a 5K USATF Sanctioned race known as “Run the Highlands” which serves as a family-friendly event that brings the community together — and gives back all at the same time. Local running groups and avid marathoners from all over Dallas bring their families for for the 5k Run and Family Trail Walk through our community and join in for our carnival after the race.
The funds we raise from your race registration, donation and/or sponsorship are given directly back to Lake Highlands. This year, LHJWL will add a gateway sign and landscape enhancements that will welcome visitors to the Lake Highlands community. The project will both beautify the border of our community, and set Lake Highlands apart as a distinct and unique neighborhood of Dallas.
